Welcome to Taste of Teton, South East Idaho’s premier destination for exceptional steak and seafood dining. Located in the heart of downtown, previously know as Teton House, our restaurant carries forward the legacy of quality, hospitality, and community that made Teton House a beloved establishment. Under the new name, Taste of Teton and ownership of Dave and Julie Carpenter, along with our passionate manager Becca Heck, we are dedicated to enhancing the experience while staying true to the flavors and traditions our guests love.

Our Story

A Legacy of Excellence, A Future of Innovation

Originally developed into a fine dining gem by Joe Hancock and Danielle Dexter in 2022, Teton House has become synonymous with top-tier cuts of steak, fresh seafood, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. When the opportunity arose to take over this historic restaurant, Dave and Julie knew they wanted to continue its mission while fine-tuning the details to make it even better.

One of the first changes? A fresh new name ‘Taste of Teton’ distinguishing it from its sister location in Menan while maintaining the same dedication to quality at the heart of the Teton Valley Area in South Eastern Idaho. Our menu remains largely unchanged, featuring crowd favorites like bacon-wrapped scallops and flash-fried Brussels sprout petals, but with a few exciting additions—including premium dry-aged beef, a rarity in the area.

A Culinary Experience Like No Other

Head Chef Tom Reynolds, boasting over 25 years of culinary experience from New York to the coast, continues to curate an unforgettable menu filled with premium sirloins, prime ribs, and locally sourced meats from Idaho Falls. With Tom’s creative freedom, guests can expect fresh daily and weekly specials that bring new flavors and excitement to the table.

Complementing our signature dishes, we’ve expanded our wine selection, maintained our 15+ beer taps, and curated an extensive lineup of specialty spirits to enhance every meal. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or indulging in a well-deserved night out, Taste of Teton offers the perfect pairing for every palate.

A Historic Setting with a Modern Touch

Housed in a 5,000-square-foot historic building, our restaurant retains its rustic charm while embracing subtle enhancements for a more welcoming ambiance. Guests can enjoy the century-old murals in the basement, a testament to the building’s unique past, while the updated upstairs flooring and expanded event space create an inviting atmosphere for any occasion.

Our banquet hall, accommodating 50-60 guests, is perfect for private gatherings, while the restaurant as a whole seats up to 250 diners across multiple levels. We’ve also preserved a dedicated space for live music on Friday nights, ensuring an immersive and entertaining dining experience.
